First and foremost, we wouldn’t be celebrating such a wonderful milestone without the support of our incredible clients. We cannot thank you all enough for sticking with us through the ups and downs of storms and insurance prices. Your trust in us as a family business over the years has meant more than you will ever know, and we are so thankful for each and every one of you.

Our staff is very close, and almost everyone here has worked at Buckner Insurance for over a decade. We celebrate a lot of birthdays and holidays together, and our incredible boss made it possible for all of us to celebrate as an office in Vegas! We had the best time hanging out with each other and our plus-ones. We rode scooters around Red Rock—luckily, we didn’t let our background in spotting liability exposures stop us from having a good time because that was hands down the best part!

All of our dinners were exceptional; we especially loved Javier’s, Vanderpump, and Carmine’s! We explored the rich history of old Vegas at Fremont Street, a few of us got tattoos, and most importantly, we had the chance to relax and enjoy each other’s company.

Children are asking Santa to bring back their favorite stuffed animals—comfort items that were lost or destroyed. Small luxuries like laundry soap would mean the world to many. New Hats, gloves, toys for kids, baby supplies, manicure sets for adults and children, hard candies, or chocolates can bring a little joy. 
 
Books are another great option since internet access is still spotty, and condiments can make basic meals a bit brighter. Small coffee makers and coffee are much-needed, and search and rescue teams are asking for instant coffee to help keep warm while they work. 
 
Honestly, any donation—from toys to comfort items, to small essentials—makes a difference. This particular load will go to Burnsville, North Carolina, for a Christmas event on December 21. Drop off locations are below with addresses, times, and collection dates.

Did you know the odds of picking a perfect March Madness bracket is a mere 1 in  9,223,372,036,854,775,808. That is 1 in 9.2 quintillion, according to many mathematicians! Each year, fans spend countless hours working on their brackets. Some are more familiar with Duke’s perimeter shot than their own insurance policies… even though the odds of getting hit by an uninsured driver or having a major loss to your home or business, are astronomically higher than a 16 seed upsetting a 1.

At Buckner insurance, we are all too familiar with the game of statistics. We know anything can happen at any time to even those with the best odds. Like all teams preparing for their season, it’s best to have a game plan and be ready. Life moves at a fast pace just like basketball and you never know when a turnover could cost you the game.

Start with reviewing all of your policies with your agent at least once a year or every time you have a major life event, like adding new players to your team, when your oldest goes off to the Pros, when you acquire that championship ring, or build a new stadium. We are here not only to help coach you but also to protect you. Think of us as your full court press defense against life’s unexpected!

​Grange insurance is one of the many companies we represent and write for in our agency. They are such an awesome company! A couple of weekends ago, Grange Insurance invited all of their agents and their families to the Columbus Zoo. We got to hold a baby kangaroo!! Here are some pictures from our zoo adventure!! 

Ashley has been with Buckner Insurance a little over 12 years now. She is licensed in Personal and Commercial insurance and has a big hand in all of our marketing and community outreach. She has a son named Colton and a dog named Rigs.

What super power would you most like to have and why? Teleportation. I would teleport to the beach on my lunch breaks. Free, No Hassle travel.

If you could choose one celebrity to hire and work with in the office who would it be and why?  Chris Pratt. I imagine our office would then be like Parks & Rec and I would laugh constantly.

What is your favorite ice cream flavor?  Chocolate and Vanilla swirled soft serve dipped in cherry or sprinkles.

Where is the next place you would like to travel to? Havasupai Falls or Iceland

This year, we raffled off some Apple Airpods and held a Kids Coloring Contest for superhero raffle baskets.

Insurance is a lot like superheroes. We are here when you need us....especially when life hits you with those unexpected BANGS, POWS, and CRASHES!!

Debbie is the owner and daughter of our founder Don Buckner. She was a nurse at Saint Elizabeth medical center for 25 years. She then came here to run the family business, where she has been for 20 years. She is licensed in all types of insurance and is the heart behind the whole company!
 
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
Graduating from the University of Kentucky.  I was the first person in my entire Buckner family that had ever graduated from college.
 
Other than insurance what is your dream job?
Being a travel blogger.  You could just travel the world for free and tell everyone all about it and get paid! 
 
What do you think is the greatest invention of all time?
The car is definitely the best invention!  I love driving and having a fun car!
 
What is one movie that will never get old to you?
Romancing the Stone….so much unexpected adventure and true love!
